Conquer the wilderness in these Off Road hiking boots made for both high performance and serious durability with a waterproof sock construction, breathable lining, abrasion leather and rip-stop nylon trimmings. The multi-directional lugs on the ultra-thin, puncture-resistant, rubber outsold maximize surface contact for superior traction. The anatomic design of the toe box allows the foot to flex naturally. The production of the barefoot feature might still need more effort, yet these hiking boots have worked great for what they are intended to do.

I spent ages trying to find some rugged walking boots that were barefoot in principle.-These are the boots. Long muddy wet walks and my feet are dry and my Achilles are fine. I LOVE THEM!!! ~terry

It is refreshing to see Vivobarefoot produce a hiking boot. While the craftsmanship and the materials are of very good quality, there is one major flaw in the design of the shoe; the toe-box is too narrow. These pinch my toes together. I really like everything else about the shoe, but because of the narrow toe-box I’ll be sending them back. ~ModernBarefooter

Great minimalist hiking shoes, water proof, nice flat sole and good tread for any type of hiking. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the two sides at the top where the laces are are kind of stiff and poke into my foot. The back is also too stiff and rubs on my ankle. This has gotten better with wear, but I really like my minimalist shoes to not feel so restraining. ~Britt Edquist

Although the idea of a minimalist “barefoot” hiking boot is great, it’s pretty clear that Terra Plana hasn’t quite done it with this Vivobarefoot boot. It’s really, really stiff, which really defeats the purpose, and for those with very wide feet the toebox may be just a hair too small. Kudos for effort, though. ~James
