This shoe features “no-sew forefoot construction,” which prevents chafing caused by seams. Instead they are welded together, which also reduces the weight. As with all the minimus shoes, these are odor resistant, meaning they can be worn with or without socks. They have a Zero drop, which is the reason for their name. These require transitioning into, or you are at risk for injury. They are intended to mimic running barefoot, without all the thorns, pointy rocks, dirt and water. This way your runs can be focused on how you’re running instead of where!

User Reviews

If minimal running shoes are your thing these my be just what your looking for. Very light and thin… Much like racing flats and very flexible. Great for pose and closer to barefoot running. Great for technique training. Can be worn with or without sox. Make sure you lace them up right if you go without thin sox. You could get blisters if too loose. ~Jason D

If you want to try barefoot running, letting your forefoot splay out naturally is a key component, and New Balance botched it. Along with the vulnerable sole and questionable materials, it’s enough to be a deal-breaker. This is an innovative product, but it still feels like a beta. ~Brent Rose
